This piece represents freedom from constraints held tightly since childhood. I have always felt trapped in my art—always forcing myself to stay within the proverbial lines. I broke free and let my palate and my paint guide me into new territory. I felt playful and whimsical and childlike. Spring is on its way and I have been inspired by spring colors lately.
