Don't Let's Ask For The Moon; We Have The Stars
Paper collage
10 x 8"

Collage: Paper on Paper.

Don'l let's ask for the moon
We already have the stars
You can keep yours wherever you wish
I'll take mine home to Mars

My work is usually spontaneous, and while my collages may seem simple, I tend to labor over each one for hours. ADD makes it very hard for me to organize, so finding just the right combination of colors and shapes is a challenge. Every piece I assemble is both a labor of love, and an obstacle to cross.

I am a lover of the unknown; of science fiction, and the idea that there might be others out there besides us. My love of color helped guide me to choose the images before you here. The striped ribbon moves toward the viewer, then swirls up and around, pulling the viewer in. The woman's cigarette glow appears almost as one of the planets that float in this surreal skyscape.

This is an original one-of-a-kind analog (hand cut and pasted, not digital) collage / montage made from paper (12 pieces) and Golden Gel Medium. About 8 x 10" unframed. Ready to mat and frame to your liking. Fun, surreal art to wrap your brain around. Prints are also available.
